Zamacona Productions has a proven track record for creating the right image and message for our clients. The following projects reflect some of the challenges we have met:

Wondrous Voyages

Challenge: To create a forum that would bring the public eye to eye with the changes of the current state of American Health. The University of California San Francisco wanted to familiarize the audience with the process and implications of scientific inquiry. And to create a platform to discuss the need to understand the social forces that influence access to health care. The audience and speakers would include participants from around the world.

Solution: Zamacona Productions was hired by the planning committee for the UCSF Foundation Board of Directors and Capital Campaign Cabinet. Our services entailed creating the concept the forum. Details included set design, A/V coordination, satellite uplink, live shoot with 5 cameras, script writing, developed content with client, met and rehearsed each speaker, arranged catering for live audience, negotiated all contracts with venue and personnel, conducted follow-up evaluation with satellite sites worldwide.

Intel

Challenge: Intel Corporation needed an eight minute video on their latest technology for Indeo Video. The challenge of the video was to find an effective way to inform Intel sales people how Indeo Video was being used by consumers worldwide. The turn around for this project was three and a half weeks.

Solution: From a national pool we chose 5 customers to profile in a 10 minute piece. We created a day in the life piece enhancing it with b-roll, graphics and music. The final product was a highly effective educational piece for the sales representatives of Intel. Since then Intel has called us to document speakers, direct and produce video news releases as well as trade show product demonstrations. For projects such as video news releases, we have received high marks from Intel for our rapid turn around, ability to be clear and concise when condensing technical jargon, and most importantly creating an entertaining platform to display Intel's product line. In January, our Software Application Update Video sponsored by Intel's software application department for Arcade owners worldwide received the highest marks at Intel's international sales force yearly meeting, as well as a standing ovation.

Sony CSD

Challenge: To turn around a documentary and image piece for Sony's newest division in a span of two months, gather and record testimonials from new clients, established clients, facilities and on how the Communication Systems Division works on a day to day basis. This tape would be utilized for trade shows, public relations presentations and inside the Sony sales force.

Solution: Zamacona Productions produced a timeline, creative team, worked within budget and on time to meet Sony's requirements. We also worked cross country with an editor and Sony's producer who posted the entire show at Disney's Post Production Facility at EPCOT Center in Florida.

LRDP

Challenge: The University of California San Francisco had a plan to expand their campus in order to accommodate the growing demand for research facilities. A comprehensive study had been conducted by key developers of the University. Three advisory groups were created to guide the LRDP. The planning Committee, the University Advisory Group, made up of staff leaders, and the Community Advisory Group, composed of community representatives. These committees called upon Zamacona Productions to condense 600 pages of research into a 15 minute video covering the history of the University's development and the result of their study.

Solution: Zamacona Productions produced and directed a twelve minute piece that chronologically traced the history of the University and its future. The video addressed the goals and objectives of the advisory groups including community issues, academic program requirements, building design and space planning, housing, campus infrastructure, transpiration and parking. Shoots ranged from helicopter aerials to interviews. By taking profiles of perspective sights from the original research and using animation, Zamacona Productions was able to clearly demonstrate the benefits of each contending location. Upon viewing the program, the Board of Regents agreed to move forward with the Long Range Development Plan. Today the video is widely used as a historical piece for UCSF.
